Join us Friday, May 18th at 5:30 pm in our Cooking School as we welcome Maximillian Kast for a special wine tasting journey through New Zealand where we will focus on the diversity of its white varietals, as well as its delicious Pinot Noirs.  The following wines will be paired with cheese and charcuterie:

Maximillian Kast is consummate professional in the service and wine industry.  He has been the Sommelier and Wine Director for multiple Relais & Chateaux properties.  Max came to the Fearrington House restaurant as a sommelier in 2007. Within a year, he was promoted to wine director and managed the beverage program for the village, a residential and retail complex with special event space and restaurants. Under Kast’s supervision, The Fearrington House Restaurant continued to receive Wine Spectator’s Best of Award for Excellence every year.  Max is now the Regional Sales Manager for Broadbent Selections, a Richmond, Va.-based wine import business.
