Casamaro Blanco Spanish
If you are unfamiliar with Verdejo, Casamaro is a good example of the grape’s charms. This winery goes to great lengths to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit harvested from their century-old vines. From Rueda, a beautiful region and source of many of Spain’s finest white wines. Serve this with lemon-herb chicken.

Do Ferreiro Albarino
This exceptional white wine is the labor of Gerardo Mendez, a wine maker who farms 12 acres in the rocky coastal region of Spain called Galicia. All of his vines are over 50 years old some are over 200 years old! Mendez uses all indigenous yeasts to ferment wines that are among the best we sell from anywhere in Spain, and in my opinion in many vintages are truly among the world’s best white wines. Serve with pork loin and apples, or if you like seafood, try this Albarino with lobster.

Francois Montand Blanc de Blancs
This perfect party bubbly hails from the Cotes du Jura region of eastern France, one of my absolute favorite wine-producing areas! It is crisp, light, and gently aromatic, with a moderate amount of delicate bubbles. Serve Francois Montand on its own as an aperitif, or use this delightful dry white as a base for fabulous mimosas or bellinis.

Most of California is too hot to make excellent sparkling wine, but in a cool corner of the Anderson Valley Champagne merchants Roederer craft a lovely exception to the rule. This weds old world finesse and delicacy to a ripe apple/citrus profile that is reminiscent of great cool-climate Cali Chardonnay.
