How we Ship

We pride ourselves in handling your orders quickly and accurately.  In most cases, most items will ship within 24 hours of ordering.  Due to extremely high volume during the Christmas season, it may take extra time depending upon the availability of inventory.  We will not be responsible for inaccurate addresses, corrections and reshipments will be the responsibility of the customer.  We will strive to assist you in making these changes, for a fee, to ensure that your recipient gets the gift that you have ordered, and that it arrives in a timely fashion.  It is our pleasure to do what we can to expedite your order.  Some items may not be shipped together.  If you have any questions, or if there is anything we can do to ensure your satisfaction, please reach us by email @ or by calling us at (866) 253-5317

Premium Shipping

Premium Shipping is the second-quickest way to get your order. Your package is expected to be delivered within 2 business days after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier.  There is no weekend delivery for Premium Shipping and certain holidays are excluded by the carriers. There is an additional $12.00 fee for this service

Express Shipping

Express Shipping is the fastest way to get your order. Your package is expected to be delivered within 1 business day after the items have been shipped and picked up by the delivery carrier. There is no weekend delivery for Express Shipping and certain holidays are excluded by the carriers. 

Additional Shipping Options

Alaska and Hawaii

Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii require an additional charge of only $10.00 per destination.  This charge will be added to the shipping charge associated with the shipping service you choose (see above). 

PO Boxes and Military Addresses (FPO & APO):

Packages to these addresses will be shipped by Priority Mail via USPS. Premium and Express shipping services are not available for these addresses. Please allow additional travel time for delivery to post office boxes and military addresses. Please note that we cannot ship Wine or Beer to a PO Box.


When calculating transit days, do not count the day a package ships. Travel times are for business days and do not include weekends or holidays.

 Warm Weather Conditions:

Chocolates and other perishable merchandise may require special handling during warm weather, and orders for these items may be unsuitable for standard shipping methods.

Our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to discuss with you prior to ordering any weather-related concerns, available options and special handling charges.

During warm weather, we revise the contents in our gift baskets and other assortments to eliminate items which may be damaged by heat. From time to time we may substitute non-perishable merchandise of equal or greater value, yielding a basket which will arrive in perfect condition without the need for express delivery.


Perishable and some semi-perishable items require express shipping services to assure that they arrive at your door in perfect condition.

Please note: Typically, we do not ship perishable items on Thursday or Friday. If delivery cannot be made before the weekend, we will ship your perishable item on Monday.

Shipments Containing Alcohol:

  • Alcohol cannot be shipped to IA, MA, ND, NH, TX, UT, WV or PO Boxes.
  • Purchaser and recipient must be at least 21 years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverages.
  • A signature is required for all alcohol deliveries.

 Hawaii and Alaska addresses:

Packages may be shipped by Standard shipping services via Priority Mail or an Express Shipping method.


Can I ship for Saturday delivery?

Absolutely.  Call us at (866) 253-5317.  We’ll take your order over the phone and make arrangements for Saturday delivery. 

Can I place an order for In-Store Pickup?

Yes, we are happy to arrange for in-store pick-up.  Typically, orders placed by 12 p.m. (EST) Monday – Friday may be picked up the next business day. Orders placed after 12 p.m. (EST) on Friday will be available for pick up on the following Tuesday.  Call us at (866) 253-5317 and we’ll make arrangements for your in-store pickup.

What about courier service?

We provide courier delivery services for local addresses near our store locations.  Please call us at (866) 253-5317 and we’ll coordinate delivering your order via our Southern Season delivery fleet.

What if my package is damaged in shipping?

In case of a damaged shipment, be sure to save everything, including the shipping carton. Shipments are insured for the full purchase value.  In order for Southern Season to reship your items, please send detailed images of the damaged goods and the shipping box to and we will issue a new order for the specified damaged product.
