When you first put a Williams Knife in your hand, you know you’re holding something special and immediately begin to wonder, “Is this something I can use, or is it a work of art?” For Chris Williams, it’s both. As a young boy, Chris grew up hanging out in his grandfather’s shop, watching him turn old band saw blades into knives. Fascinated with the idea of blending steel, wood and other natural materials together into something useful, Chris slowly began to develop his own style of knife-making, using everything he had learned from his grandfather and adding his own special style. He soon began to make knives for his friends in the small shop behind his house. In 2009, Chris realized his dream and turned his hobby into a business. He opened his small shop on John's Island, South Carolina, where he custom crafts his knives today.
There's really nothing like the Kiawah large stainless Damascus Chef knife. Like its namesake, its curving lines and elegant beauty will draw you back for more. Made of varying Damascus layers of stainless steel, folded over a VG-10 core, this knife will hold an edge that is unparallelled. Truly as much workhorse as work of art.
