Edalo, Zalema, Spain

This Andalucían white, which is a region that excels in fortified wines is really quite hot.  It's made from 100% Zalema which delivers something with a unique fingerprint that is also very good to drink. It's a crisp, dry, summery wine with quince, liquorice, some grassy notes to the nose.  Lime citrus and ripe Williams pear are present on the palate along with hints of papaya.

Salsus, Vinho Verde, Portugal

This wine is a blend of Trajadura, Loureiro, Arinto.  The grapes are destemmed, fermented in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature.  This wine is from the D.O.C. region of Vinho Verde.  This blend has a brightness to it with a pronounced and youthfully fresh nose of citrus fruit and minerals.  And, it tastes as young and vibrant as it smells: spritz of citrus fruit, mineral, shale, crisp acidity and a clean refreshing finish

Barone Fini, Pinot Grigio, Italy

Château Moulinat, Bordeaux, France

Julien Schaal, The Elements, Shiraz, South Africa

Young Julien Schaal – already a winemaking veteran in both South Africa and France – has been called “the savior of South African Syrah.” In part, it’s because he virtually uniquely manages wines which are rich, pure and appealing, but also without a trace of the typical South African tarry rusticity.  With powerful aromas of eucalyptus, black pepper and a palate full of blackberries and blueberries, this wine aims to please with its smooth finish and amazing drinkability.

Tall Sage, Red Blend, Columbia Valley, Washington

This Red Wine Blend is a balanced expression of rich fruit flavors with the characteristic structure of Washington wines. Expressive mineral and savory aromas are balanced with light barrel toast and creaminess. The palate is smooth and inviting with dark lively fruit flavors of plum and blackberry layered with notes of coffee and spice. The soft structure of the wine seamlessly carries the fruit expression onto the finish which continues to show delicate dark fruit flavors.
