Chartogne-Taillet Brut Rose Champagne
Out of Stock
Chartogne-Taillet’s NV Brut Rose exhibits chalkiness as well as the strikingly sweet, nutty, saline savor of oyster liquor memorably found in their (far from) “basic” Ste. Anne cuvee, whose varietal make-up is identical. (But this rose originates entirely with 2010.) These are allied to fresh tomato and red currant, leading to a finish of mouthwatering and cheek-pinching appeal. Relatively spare and bracing, I imagine this will develop a lovely patina over the next couple of years, though naturally for some culinary purposes it will be best enjoyed now.
