Rockwell Minimus Red Blend
Minimus is both the distillation of Chad Stock’s winemaking experience at sites across the Pacific Northwest as well a testing ground for new ideas that he may or may not employ down the road. Chad is a strident believer in organic farming and sources a diverse array of fruit from friends and colleagues in Oregon and Washington in creating Minimus offerings.
This Rockwell is a blend of 40% Tempranillo, 25% Syrah, 20% Blaufrankisch, 10% Viognier, 5% Sauvignon Blanc aged in barriques and puncheons (a bit more than twice the size of barriques) from a mix of Austrian, French oak and accacia. This wine is about as natural as ‘natural wine’ can get! Stay tuned, because Chad’s offering seems to be more and more interesting with every new harvest.
Notes of honeysuckle, violets, ripe raspberry, blackberry, candied cherry, melted chocolate and creamy vanilla on the nose then super sleek and silky in the mouth with bold flavors of ripe black cherry, raspberry, blackberry, toffee, mocha and espresso balanced but some fresh acidity and supple tannin.
